THERE was no victory dance for Heartland FC of Owerri yesterday at the Dan Ayiam Stadium as she was forced to a barren draw by visiting Wikki Tourists of Bauchi, even as MFM had her fire doused by merciless Rivers United in Port Harcourt.
The Bauchi side tenaciously hold on to the Nigeria Professional League zenith with 40 points from 21 matches, same as Rivers United, after the 4-1 thrashing of MFM FC yesterday. Rangers International of Enugu and Enyimba back slided from their title chase following their away losses to Plateau United and Shooting Stars respectively.
Rangers were beaten 2-0 by Plateau United, while Shooting Stars humbled Enyimba 1-0 .
