Nigerian launches first team-oriented social network in UK

A new concept in social networking was unveiled on Friday in the United Kingdom as Nigerian entrepreneur, Yinka Olugbodi, presented Teamspirit, the first global team-oriented social network service. Teamspirit took the centre stage at the Google Campus in the United Kingdom on Friday, April 17, when it was formally launched amid applause from the audience, which included business leaders, venture capital investors, ICT professionals and businessmen.

Olugbodi said social network has just became more social with Teamspirit as it helps people with diverse backgrounds to connect and interact on the team-based platform.

Teamspirit is a social networking site with a global appeal and it seeks to differentiate its offerings from others. It evolved out of a strong resolve to build a brand that would promote the uniqueness of a team. It is a platform where individuals can work with others in teams.

Olugbodi noted that Teamspirit is dynamic, vibrant and refreshing in its outlook, as it seeks to align with the aspirations and desires of the target audience. It is fun and seeks to engage its audience in a very unique way.

Teamspirit is a social platform where an individual connects with his teams across the globe. It is a collection of teams on one platform. It is also based on the principle that everyone belongs to a team. The site, www.teamspiritlive.com, is an innovative and refreshing approach to social networking.

The logo depicts teamwork. It shows two individuals working in a powerful picture in a divisive and chaotic world. It underscores the power of teams. This is one thread that holds the brand as it resonates among the target audience.

Teamspirit is a potent factor to project the ingenuity of Nigerians to develop ideas that stand the test of time. It is one that will reshape the image of the country.

According to Olugbodi, the site would be positioned as the arrowhead of technological development in Africa by using great resources that abound on the continent.

The social networking site is equally an avenue to build an African Silicon Valley through networks or individuals inviting teammates to join the site. This would go a long way to achieve substance and build a global interactive platform for teams. The new social networking site has features for the target audience, which include team-oriented, individual-to-team, high quality web, mobile and interactive design, free joining and restricted joining, online sales and customers facilities

chat , inbox and home facilities, photo and video sharing as well as sophisticated security features.

The Teamspirit brand is friendly, engaging and interactive as teammates can connect globally and interact on matters of mutual interest and benefit. The site is designed to grow through building up the users’ base through joining and also building different e-business, marketing, advertising and online sales platforms.
