The Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NSEG) has promised that it upcoming summit would addressed many economic issues in the country.

Secretary, National Planning Commission of NESG, Mr. Bassey Akpanyung at the media briefing for the 21st Nigerian Economic Summit held in Lagos, expressed that the summit will come up with measurable outcomes on how best to achieve competitiveness and inclusive growth in a sustainable way.
He affirmed that, the summit is consistent with the aspirations of the present administration’s change agenda and the medium term successor strategic plan, 2016-2020 which focused on fighting corruption, addressing unemployment, insecurity, institutional reforms, economic growth and development.
He said the confab billed to take place in Abuja between October 13th and 15th,this year , will be crucial in defining the agenda that will help in making Nigeria’s socio-economic environment globally competitive.
The theme of this year’s summit : “Tough Choices: Achieving Competitiveness, Inclusive Growth and sustainability”,and it is expected to be declare open by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with high level representation from the public sector, and key government officials.
Speaking on the success of last summit, Mr. Akpanyung said the summit has over the years contributed immensely to strengthening the relationship between the public and private sectors, and the transformation of Nigeria’s economy.
He noted that the key outcomes of the summit have helped in influencing policies since the inception of the summit arrangement.
