Ugwuanyi stated this in an address during the commissioning of Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi ICT Centre at Agbani in Nkanu West local government area of the State.

The Governor noted that no meaningful development can take place in this 21st century without ICT competence, adding that such technology is needed to bail the people from the clutches of poverty.

Ugwuanyi expressed his readiness to partner any organisation, groups or individual, committed to the empowerment of the youths through manpower training and development in the state.

The Governor commended the Executive Chairman of Nkanu West, Hon Afam Okereke, for establishing ICT Centre in the council, describing it as a step in the right direction to get the rural populace competent to compete with their colleagues outside the community.

He also attributed such gesture by the Chairman as a complement to the agenda of the present administration.
