AN explosion rocked the Stade de France in Paris – hours before France played Iceland in the Euro 2016 quarter-final yesterday.
Police were believed to have carried out a controlled explosion on a suspect vehicle outside the stadium.
Fans arriving for the match heard the bang at around 5.30pm (local time).
Local reports suggested supporters were stopped from entering the stadium by police.
Tensions ran high at the tournament amid fears terror could ruin the tournament that is now in the semi final stage.
