Tagged ‘Pernsona’, Access Bank Nigeria Plc, has developed a new debit card that allows the holder choose an image that will appear on the card.
The bank said the inspiration in developing non-generic products and enhanced services are its increasingly technology savvy customer base.
At the launch of this unique first of its kind debit card at the bank’s corporate headquarters over the weekend, Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Access Bank, Mr Herbert Wigwe, said the bank was keen on improving on service experience across all touch points.
According to him, Access Bank has, in the past few months, unveiled a series of new initiatives, products and services which the management saw as only the beginning of the journey to the future.
His words:”We will not stop thanking those who have been on the journey with us so far and we welcome the teeming numbers of customers who are coming on-board everyday.
“We promise you that we won’t stop doing what we do best – doing new things and finding new ways to do old things.
“In Access Bank, we believe in creating our own destiny, we insist on pushing boundaries and we thrive on excellence.”
He said the bank will not seize bringing innovative products because it is not in “our DNA to stop.”
“All we do is win. We will continue to win with our customers by our side, because we are inspired by you,” Wigwe stated.
Also speaking, the Executive Director, Personal Banking, Mr Victor Etuokwu, said the card is about “who you really are and who you want to project.”
His words: “It is for people you care about. It is more than a card and can be used to send a message to people you care about.” In the same vein, the Group Head, Channel Services, Mr Segun Ogbonnewo, said the customised debit card is the first in a series of initiatives under the ‘Persona’ umbrella, in keeping with Access Bank’s commitment to inclusive banking service channels.
He explained that a customer can subscribe to the verve card by simply going on line to provide relevant personal information, choose from a gallery of images or upload a choice image and the bank will make it available according to specification.
“We have tried to ensure that it appeals to every customer segment, from the young and elderly, to the student and the professional. Your ‘Persona’ is simply an expression of who you are to the watching public and we all want to make a good impression. We all want to be heard. This is a product that allows you express, in a simple yet powerful manner, who you want to be seen as,” Ogbonnewo said.
According to him, the bank is focused on building its digital banking enterprise around innovative, efficient and relevant products and services driven by cutting edge technology platforms.
He revealed during the launch of the product that over 70 customer has subscribed for the unique debit card.
