Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) officially kicked off the 2014 edition of its Annual National Essay Competition on Monday, September 29, 2014 with the call for entries to secondary schools across the country. The topic for this year is: “Understanding the activities of the Nigerian Capital Market is important for today’s youth. Discuss.”
This year’s edition is only open to Senior Secondary School students. The Deadline for the 2014 dition is the second week in November.
The Head of Corporate Division of The NSE, Mr. Bola Adeeko stated that “The Exchange is committed to supporting efforts aimed at addressing financial literacy and empowerment; this commitment is expressed in the various financial inclusion and literacy initiatives undertaken by The NSE, one of which is the Annual Essay Competition. The competition’s overall goal is to develop a culture of wealthcreation amongst our youth – by “Catching Them Young.’’
