Experts have called on government at all levels and stakeholders to work towards increasing investments in the real estate sector by creating the right environment for the sector to thrive.
The experts spoke at the 3INVEST Real Estate Unite Exhibition and Conference in Lagos, a statement by the firm on Thursday said.
It added that the conference was organised in line with the global quest for a sustainable real estate environment.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, 3INVEST, Mr. Wale Olaoye, was quoted as saying at the event that that security was vital in developing green building and a sustainable real estate environment.
Olaoye explained that there was the need for experts –professionals, dealers and individuals – in the real estate industry in Nigeria and other parts of Africa to collaborate in order to achieve the goal of developing a sustainable real estate sector.
Olaoye, who restated the commitment of the company in realising the goal, added, “Halogen Security is set to drive new thinking and solutions for Africa’s rising real estate industry.
“We believe that we can contribute our expertise to the development of discourse in the real estate sector. We are more than ready to up the game whenever we are called to do so.”
The Executive Director, Commercial and New Market, Halogen, Mr. Bosun Sosanya, noted that developing green building and a sustainable real estate structure required strategic inclusion of security into building concepts from the planning stage, through the designs and its eventual construction.
He said, “To achieve functional, environmental friendly and more secured buildings, our government should invoke a national real estate policy, which will make it mandatory for real estate practitioners to include strategic positioning of intelligent building management system.”
