The Federal Government of Nigeria on Wednesday, 14 November, 2007 released a list of 49 insurance companies permitted to carry on insurance business in the country.
It also announced that about N80 billion raised by the insurance firms during the recapitalisation and kept in an escrow account at the Central Bank of Nigeria would be released to them on Thursday, 15 November, 2007.
